Moore Architecture + Design is a Portland, Oregon based architectural design studio with a collaborative approach emphasizing client service, design, and stewardship of the environment resulting in projects thoughtfully attuned to their purpose and place.
Originally from New York, Jim Moore studied architecture after a previous career in finance. With an undergraduate degree in economics, graduate studies in urban and regional planning, and a focused study in architecture Jim received his Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech where he was named to the architecture honor society.
Jim has over 20 years of experience with recognized architectural firms in the Washington DC area and Portland, Oregon affording him a wide variety of experience in design and leadership roles in many project types including residential, educational, wineries, institutional, religious, and retail. Jim has been active in community design assistance programs spanning rural Virginia, Washington DC, and Portland, Oregon.
Jim is a registered architect in the state of Oregon.
